Coffee and tea stains in the carpet look awful, but they're not difficult to remove- even if the stain has dried and set in!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Washcloth, Towel, or Sponge
  • Absorbant towel
  • Dish soap (NOT dishwasher detergent)
  • Water
  1. Step 1

Mix a small amount of dish soap with a cup of warm water in a small dish or cup.

  2. Step 2

Soak the washcloth or sponge in the mixture and dab repeatedly on the spot you wish to remove.

  3. Step 3

Soak another cloth in plain warm water without soap, and dab to rinse soap from the carpet.

  4. Step 4

Place a dry towel on top of the now wet spot and stand on it to absorb the moisture from the carpet. Keep stepping on the towel until the spot is dry.

Tips & Warnings
  • White towels and washcloths seem to work best with this technique.
