Things You'll Need:
- Bottle of wine
- Screw -- about 2 inches long or longer
- Screw driver
- Pliers
-
Step 1
Unwrap the bottle of wine.
-
Step 2
Take the screw and screw it into the cork. Make sure your screw is long enough to go into the cork at least 1 inch deep.
-
Step 3
Use the pliers to gently pull the screw -- and the cork! -- out of the bottle. Once you have gotten the cork part way out, you can move the pliers to pull on the cork instead of the screw.

on 10/27/2008 Never would have thought of it! Afterall, they call it a cork-screw -- so, why not? Great idea.

on 10/13/2008 Excellent advice for those of us who don't drink but may have a dinner guest that brings wine. Sure keeps the egg off our face :) Thanks for sharing!
