How to Rescue a Pit Bull in Virginia

Pit bulls are popular dogs in Virginia. However, due to their reputations as dangerous dogs, there are many pit bulls in Virginia that need to be rescued.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Create an area in your home for your new pit bull to live. Make sure you have a kennel and all the supplies that your dog will need to live a happy, healthy life.

  2. Step 2

    Contact the Virginia Humane Society located in your town. Make sure that you specify you are looking for a pit bull. If they have any pit bulls that need to be rescued, they will notify you. They will also put you on a list of people who are looking to rescue a pit bull in case one becomes available.

  3. Step 3

    Pay close attention to local papers. People often list pit bulls in newspapers to sell them or get rid of them. It might be that some of the pit bulls listed in the paper need to be rescued, and you can do this.

  4. Step 4

    Contact the ASPCA in Virginia. There should be a branch in a town near your. Your phone book will help you find it. Let them know that you want to rescue a pit bull and chances are good that they will have one for you. Otherwise, they will let you know when they find one for you to rescue.
