Easter brings bunnies, chicks and painted eggs. It's not generally a holiday associated with lots of movies or holiday specials (like Halloween or Christmas), but there are still a decent amount of Easter-themed movies out there--and you can celebrate with a movie marathon.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Watch the 1971 classic "Here Comes Peter Cottontail," with Casey Kasem as the voice of Peter Cottontail. Peter Cottontail oversleeps when he is supposed to compete the next morning against the wicked Irontail. He loses the challenge and sees Irontail take over April Valley. Irontail makes numerous changes such as making the only two egg colors concrete and black. Peter makes his way out of the changing April Valley and finds Mr. Sassafras presents him with time machine with a French-speaking caterpillar Antoine as his pilot. Peter and Antoine make their way through all of the calendar holidays as Peter learns a few lessons along the way.

  2. Step 2

Watch the 1974 classic "It's the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown." Join Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the whole Peanuts gang as they prepare for Easter and appoint Snoopy as the Easter Bunny.

  3. Step 3

Watch the 1977 special "The Easter Bunny Is Comin' to Town." Fred Astaire narrates this tale of Sunny, a baby rabbit found and adopted by Kidsville (a town of only kids). Sunny goes delivering eggs to the nearby town--eggs which he has to dye to fool Gadzooks, the mean bear on the mountain.

  4. Step 4

Watch the 1977 special "Bugs Bunny's Easter Special." This collection of Easter-themed cartoons is hosted by Bugs Bunny and Granny.

  5. Step 5

Watch Jim Henson's 1986 "Bunny Picnic." Bean Bunny's brother tells him he is too small to help prepare for the Bunny Picnic, so he wanders off on his own and encounters the farmer's dog. None of the other bunnies believe him when he tries to tell them he's seen the dog--until the dog ruins the picnic. It's then up to Bean to come up with a plan to defeat the farmer's dog by discovering the one thing the dog fears.

  6. Step 6

Watch the 1987 special "A Chucklewood Easter." Join Rusty and Buttons, a fox and bear cub who are put on trial for stealing eggs after invading the secret home of the Easter Bunny. Often hard to track down, this can generally only be found on VHS.

  7. Step 7

Watch the 1993 special "Yogi the Easter Bear." Yogi Bear and Boo Boo are up to their picnic basket-stealing tricks and when they find out that the Easter Bunny has been kidnapped, they set out to save them.

  8. Step 8

Watch the 2004 film "Winnie the Pooh: Springtime with Roo." Roo, along with Pooh and the rest of the gang, pay Rabbit a visit to celebrate Easter. But instead of finding an Easter party, they find Rabbit holding a Spring Cleaning Day celebration instead. Roo tries to cheer Rabbit up and convince him to celebrate Easter.
