How to Make a Paper Plate Heart Candy Holder for Valentine's Day
There are many ways in which teachers can celebrate Valentine's Day with their students. They can throw a party, make crafts and give out candy. One unique way to give candy to students is to make paper plate heart candy holders. Each paper plate Valentine can be personalized to the student from the teacher. A teacher can make them at home very inexpensively, then bring them in to class on Valentine's Day.
Instructions

1
Join two paper plates together at the seams so that they are facing each other. This will make them look somewhat like a circle.
-
2
Staple the paper plates together at the edges on the sides and bottom, but not on the top.
-
-
3
Cut the middle of the top in to a "V" shape. This will make the paper plates look like a heart.
-
4
Paint the paper plates using Valentine's Day colors such as pink and red.
-
5
Allow the paint to dry before continuing.
-
6
Use Wite-out to personalize each heart-shaped pouch by spelling out the student's name. This text looks best in the front middle of the heart.
-
7
Allow the names to dry.
-
8
Fill the pouches with candy. You can slide the candy in the top, since it is not stapled shut.
