How to Make Winter Potpourri

Winter brings with it many wonderful scents that are fresh and cool. The season smells of evergreen trees and a variety of different herbs and spices. This winter potpourri will bring into your home many of the smells of winter for you and everyone in your household to enjoy.

Things You'll Need

• 2 cups cedar chips
• 1 cup pine needles
• 2 cups eucalyptus leaves
• 1 cup broken cinnamon sticks
• 1/2 cup whole sage leaves
• 1/4 cup rosemary leaves
• 1/8 cup whole cloves
• 3/4 cup oak moss
• 1/8 cup rose hips
• 1/4 cup holly berries
• 7 drops balsam oil
• 3 drops cinnamon oil
• Wooden spoon
• Mixing bowl
• Basket

Instructions

1. Grab your mixing bowl and add the cedar chips, pine needles, eucalyptus, cinnamon, sage, rosemary, cloves, oak moss, rose hips, and the holly berries. Stir them all together using the wooden spoon.

2. Add the balsam and cinnamon oils to the potpourri mix.

3. Stir the whole mixture again with the wooden spoon.

4. Place the finished winter potpourri mix in a basket and dislplay anywhere in your home.

Tips & Warnings

• If you have a fireplace in your home you can place the basket near it so the heat could help bring out more of the scent from the Winter Potpourri Mix. Enjoy!!
