How to Change an AIM Profile in iChat
Apple's iChat software can work with a variety of messaging clients, including AOL's Instant Messenger, often referred to as AIM. And with the latest version of iChat, AIM members can control various aspects of their accounts, including their profiles, directly through iChat. AIM users can create profiles, where they can paste their favorite quotes, song lyrics or random thoughts for all of their buddies to see. This article explains how to edit an AIM profile in iChat.

Start the iChat program by clicking on the icon in the dock. Make sure you are logged into your AOL Instant Messenger account.

Go to "iChat" in the top menu bar and select "Change My Profile." A new window showing your current profile will open.

Enter the text of your choice into the "My Profile" window.

Click the "Font" button at the top of the window to select a new font to use in your profile or adjust the size of the text.

Click on the "Color" button at the top of the window to adjust the background color or text color of your profile.

When you are satisfied with the appearance of your profile, click "Save" to set your profile.
