How to Change the Font Style and Font Size in PowerPoint

Microsoft offers a variety of font options for the user. Whether you want to change the font style or font size of your text, Microsoft PowerPoint makes it easy to alter font options when preparing a presentation with this software program. As with all things Microsoft, there are different ways to alter font style and size. This guide will assist you in changing fonts for a particular slide or for the entire presentation.

Instructions

      Open your Powerpoint document and move it to the slide where you want to change the font.

      Highlight the text using your mouse that you want to change.

      Select the <Format> menu from the standard toolbar.

      Select <Font> from the drop-down menu which will open the Font Dialog Box.

      Select the font, font style, color and/or size from the Font Dialog Box.

Tips & Warnings

  • When using the Replace Fonts tool, you cannot change size, style and/or color. This only will change the Font itself.
