Legos have been popular among kids since the 1950s and the company has sold over 400 billion bricks in 60 years. Building with bricks inspires children's creativity and improves hand-eye coordination in young kids. It is always fun to sit down and help them build and design different Lego creations. From fortresses to cars to airplanes, you can build hundreds of objects with Legos. Here is a simple way to build a tank.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Build the foundation. Use a 4-by-2 plate and connect it with two 2-by-2 bricks. Make sure the bricks are connected to the bottom of the plate, so that the wheels will fit.

  2. Step 2

Take two short rods and place them in the holes of the bricks. These will serve as the tank’s axels.

  3. Step 3

Attach four wheels to these rods—one on each end. Secure the wheels with stoppers. You can now start to see the basic foundation of the tank.

  4. Step 4

Find another 2-by-2 brick and connect it to the center of the plate. The brick should stand in between two studs with a hole facing the front of the tank.

  5. Step 5

Insert a rod into the center brick. This rod represents the tank cannon. Secure the cannon piece with a stopper.

  6. Step 6

Place a 2-by-1 brick on the 2-by-2 center brick. This 2-by-1 brick should have a hole facing the front.

  7. Step 7

Insert another rod into the hole of the 2-by-1 brick. This gives your tank a second cannon. Secure this rod with another stopper. Your tank is now complete. You may add more pieces to the sides of the tank to represent upgraded armor.

Tips & Warnings
  • Avoid adding too many pieces near the bottom of the Lego tank because this may cause it to not roll properly on its wheels.
