How to Make Candy Cane Place Cards

These candy cane place cards make any holiday dinner table festive. This is a great craft to do with the kids on Christmas break. The place cards could also be used as a gift tag on a Christmas present. Does this Spark an idea?

  • Card stock paper
  • Candy canes
  • Hole punch
  • Gel pen, silver or gold

Instructions

    • 1

      Cut out 3-inch ovals from the cardstock paper. Cut out as many as needed for the number of guests you will have.

      Write the name of each guest onto the ovals using the gel pens. Let dry.

      Punch a hole in both short ends of each oval.

    • 4

      Insert the end of a candy cane into a hole from the front to the back.

    • 5

      Insert the same end of the candy cane through the other hole coming up from the back. The candy cane should stick out of each end of the place care so the name is at the front.

      Repeat Steps 4 through 5 for the remaining place cards.

    • 7

      Set a place card on top of each dinner plate.
