Things You'll Need:
- Brush
- Rat-tail comb
- Small bobby pins
-
Step 1
Brush your hair thoroughly to remove all tangles. Hang your head down and brush underneath also. Arrange your hair how you’d like it to lay.
-
Step 2
Use the end of a rat-tail comb to section off the hair that lies directly above the forehead and back about 2 inches. Comb it upward, holding it with your other hand.
-
Step 3
Pull the section up and toward the back of your head and twist it around once clockwise. Lay the twist down on your head and push it slightly toward the front of your head to make a poof.
-
Step 4
Hold the twist to your head with one hand and using the end of the rat-tail comb with the other hand, poke the end of the comb into the poof and lift small sections upward to even it out and increase the poof.
-
Step 5
Secure the twist by slightly opening up some bobby pins with your fingers and pushing them downward into the edge of the twist and down through your hair, against your scalp.
-
Step 6
Adjust the poof if needed. If you have bangs inside the poof that you want to release, use the end of the rat-tail comb to pull out a few or more strands of bangs. Spray hairspray on the poof hairdo for extra hold.
