In the PC role-playing game Baldur's Gate 2, your party of adventurers will spend a good deal of time in the sprawling city of Athkatla. You will have plenty of opportunities to complete various side quests there to gain additional experience points and money. You can help the people of the city and receive a useful magic item by taking down a group of fallen paladins who have turned their back on their holy order and are planning on starting a new smuggling ring.

Instructions

    • 1
      The Temple District

      Escape the dungeon at the beginning of the game and then go to the Temple District in the city of Athkatla. Go inside the Radiant Heart Temple and speak with the priest named Sir Trawl, who will inform the party that several paladins of the order have gone rogue. Accept his quest to hunt them down and either return them to the fold or kill them.

      The Bridge District

      Leave the Temple District and go to the Bridge District. Find the fallen paladins and watch them engage in a battle with a group of smugglers who try to cheat them. Speak with the fallen paladin leader and agree to help him steal a magic item from the Radiant Heart Temple.

      Anarg's Cup

      Go back to the Temple and tell the priest that you want to take the magic item to the paladins to gain their trust. Take the item called "Anarg's Cup" from him and then report back to the paladins in the Bridge District.

      Try to give the Cup to the paladins, but they will realize you are working for the Temple and attack your party.

      The Gloves of Healing

      Kill the fallen paladins and then tell Sir Trawl of their defeat to complete the quest. He will reward the party with the "Gloves of Healing."

Tips & Warnings

  • You can use the Gloves of Healing to heal a wounded character once per day.

  • If your party has a reputation score less than 10 then Sir Trawl will not offer the quest to them.
