How to Make a Grand Entrance at a Wedding Reception

You have said your vows and now is the time for you to start your new life together. Your guests are waiting for you to make your first appearance as a married couple. The wedding reception is the perfect time to make a memorable entrance.

Set the stage for the the newlyweds' arrival at the reception. Clear the area around and near the doors, keeping them shut until it is time for the grand entrance.

Have the deejay or another announcer build up excitement by joking, singing and practicing a hand clapping, foot banging welcome as the lights slowly dim, setting the mood of anticipation.

Play the couple's special song in the background as the room darkens with a spotlight on the entrance doors. The deejay should loudly introduce the new Mr. and Mrs. as the guests wildly cheer.
