Set the stage for the the newlyweds' arrival at the reception. Clear the area around and near the doors, keeping them shut until it is time for the grand entrance.

Have the deejay or another announcer build up excitement by joking, singing and practicing a hand clapping, foot banging welcome as the lights slowly dim, setting the mood of anticipation.

    • 3

Let the bridal party enter first. They can arrange themselves two by two with arms up and fingers touching to create a tunnel effect for the bride and groom. The music should get louder and the guests can stand and cheer as the married couple make their entrance.

Play the couple's special song in the background as the room darkens with a spotlight on the entrance doors. The deejay should loudly introduce the new Mr. and Mrs. as the guests wildly cheer.
