The Add This website provides you with the code to install a bookmarking button to share your content in all your blog postings. By clicking on this button, your blog or website readers can bookmark your entries to most social networking sites, from iGoogle, to Facebook to Twitter. This way your blog or site is promoted on the Internet.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

Go to the Add This website and sign up for an account (see Resources below). On the left side of the screen, you will see a blue square which says "Get your button." Click on that square to access the page where you can set up your account.

View the different bookmarking button options. Choose between different sizes and different formats, so you have more options as to what your readers will see.

  3. Step 3

Choose where you are going to put your bookmarking button. The options are a website, a blog, a MySpace page or a newsletter. By choosing this, Add This will format the HTML code that you need to post the button to better track how many people bookmark your content. When you are ready, hit "Get your free button."

  4. Step 4

Notice two bookmarking button options. If you choose the one at the top, when your readers click on it, a new window will pop up. However, the second one is a "drop-down version" of it, which means that the button expands when your readers go over it with their mouse. Copy the one you like better.

  5. Step 5

Go to your latest blog entry and, on your editor, paste the code at the bottom (or the top, if you prefer) of your post. Click "Save." Check how the post is published and if the bookmarking button is ready for all your readers to share your content!
