      The Apple Mail application.

      Navigate to “Applications/Mail” and double click Mail to launch the application in an open Finder window.

      Select new Smart Mailbox.

      Look for the “+” sign icon in the lower left-hand corner of the Mail window, under the “Mail Activity” box. Click on the “+” sign icon and select “New Smart Mailbox” and release your mouse.

      Click on the drop down menu under “Messages” in the new window and click and select “Message is Unread” and release the mouse.
