How to Create a Smart Mailbox of Unread Mail in Mac OS X Leopard

• Apple Mail application

Instructions

1. 

   Navigate to “Applications/Mail” and double click Mail to launch the application in an open Finder window.

2. 

   Look for the “+” sign icon in the lower left-hand corner of the Mail window, under the “Mail Activity” box. Click on the “+” sign icon and select “New Smart Mailbox” and release your mouse.

3. 

   Click on the drop down menu under “Messages” in the new window and click and select “Message is Unread” and release the mouse.

4. 

   Name your Smart Mailbox “Unread Mail.”

5. 

   See your new Smart Mailbox with all of your unread mail under your “Smart Mailboxes” menu in the left-hand side of your Mail application window, listing all of your unread mail.
