Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Blue raffia
  • 1/2-inch white picot ribbon
  • 1 1/2-inch wood ball
  • 1-inch wood star
  • Spanish moss
  • Floral wire
  • Gold floss
  • Gold acrylic paint
  • Light peach acrylic paint
  • Pink acrylic paint
  • Black acrylic paint
  • Gold glitter spray
  • Paint brush
  • Wood skewer
  • Hot glue gun
  • Scissors
  • Wire cutters
  • Cotton swab
  1. Step 1

Gather a bunch of raffia together and tie into a 5-inch bow. Trim the ends to measure 7 inches each.

  2. Step 2

Cut an 18-inch length of the white picot ribbon and tie into a 4-inch bow. Trim the ends to measure 4 inches each.

  3. Step 3

Paint the wood ball using the light peach acrylic paint and allow the paint to dry. Dab the cotton swab in the pink acrylic paint and lightly pounce the cheeks of the raffia angel. Dip the blunt end of the wood skewer in the black acrylic paint and dot the eyes of the raffia angel. Allow the paint to dry.

  4. Step 4

Paint the star using the gold acrylic paint and allow the paint to dry.

  5. Step 5

Hot glue the raffia angel ornament's head to the top of the raffia bow's knot at the neck. Hot glue the picot ribbon bow below the head at the neck. Hot glue the wood star to the picot ribbon bow's knot.

  6. Step 6

Apply hot glue to the top of the raffia angel ornament's head. Set a small bit of Spanish moss into the glue for hair.

  7. Step 7

Cut a 3-inch length of the floral wire and form it into a ring for the halo. Apply a small amount of glue to the back of the halo and place it on top of the raffia angel ornament's head.

  8. Step 8

Cut a 6-inch length of gold floss. Thread the gold floss through the back of the halo and knot the ends together for a hanger.

  9. Step 9

Lay the raffia angel ornament on a flat surface and spray lightly with the gold glitter spray. Allow the glitter spray to dry. Turn the raffia angel over and spray the back if desired.

Tips & Warnings
