People are embracing the new trend toward flameless candles. They are safer to use, last longer in many cases, and come in a variety of wonderful scents. One of the best on the market today comes from Glade, called a Wisp Flameless Candle. It flickers just like a real candle. However, because there is no open flame, you can place it anywhere safely. Wisp Candles deliver delicious aroma for three solid hours or you can manually adjust them to go on and off as you desire. They have five adjustable settings, allowing you to decide exactly how much aroma will delivered so that the scent is never overpowering. Best of all, Wisp Candles are battery-operated, running on just two AA batteries.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Wisp flameless candle
  • Wisp scent bottle
  • 2 AA batteries
  1. Step 1

Choose the Wisp Flameless Candles aroma(s) of choice. Scent options include Apple Cinnamon, Clean Linen, French Vanilla, Hawaiian Breeze, Orchid Oasis and Rainshower.

  2. Step 2

Decide how many flameless candles to purchase. This may be dependent upon the number of rooms in which you wish to place the candles and their size.

  3. Step 3

Remove the candle pieces and the scent bottle from its packaging. Take the center plastic part of the candle out of the outside glass cover. Put the glass cover off to the side.

  4. Step 4

Insert the batteries. Push in the two side tabs of the center plastic piece to release the bottom part of the unit. Set the top plastic piece aside. Turn the bottom piece upside down. Open the battery slot on the bottom of the unit by pushing the tab in and lifting it up at the same time. Put two AA batteries into the slots, following the visual guides offered there. Shut the door and make certain that it has snapped into place.

  5. Step 5

Set the scent strength by using the adjuster on the bottom unit. Turn the bottom unit right side up.

  6. Step 6

Remove the top from the aroma bottle. Slip the bottle into the slots allotted for it at the top part of the bottom unit. Match up the tabs on the bottle with the slots in the unit. Once the bottle is in place, turn and snap it tightly shut.

  7. Step 7

Replace the outside plastic unit by matching the two side tabs in the bottom unit with the two slots in its top piece. Make certain that the unit is secure. Place the entire plastic unit inside of the glass candle base.

  8. Step 8

Activate the flickering candle effect, if desired. All that is required is a gentle push on the top of the plastic unit centered within the glass candle base. To turn it off, push down on the top again. Otherwise it will automatically turn off after 3 hours have passed.

  9. Step 9

Place one or more candles in each room as desired using all of the same scent or mix and matching them as you please. Feel free to move the candle around from place to place or room to room since it is completely portable.

  10. Step 10

Replace batteries approximately every 30 to 45 days. Replace scent bottles approximately every 45 to 60 days.

Tips & Warnings
  • A single candle can easily scent a small to medium size room. A larger room may take two to three candles in order for the scent to be recognized.
  • Mix and match scents that would normally blend well together rather than ones that might clash and result in an unpleasant odor.
  • Wisp Flameless Candles are perfectly safe to use as a night light, since they will cut off ater three hours.
  • Depending upon the the aroma strength chosen, the scent bottle may require earlier replacement than noted. The 45-day period is based on the lowest aroma setting.
  • Check for possible allergic reactions to scents before placing them in anyone's room.
