How to Dress Like a Christmas Fairy

Confuse and amuse people by dressing as a Christmas fairy for Halloween. Alternatively, you could also dress as a one for that holiday party you're hosting or for a masquerade ball. Choose any occasion to put together this fun, festive and magical costume. She is different from your average fairy. She has magical holiday powers, is accented by the beauty of the jolly spirit, and wears reminders on her at all times to remind us of the spirit of Christmas!

Instructions

1. Curl your hair. A Christmas fairy is meant to be angelic with curly hair. Sprinkle in a very generous portion of hair glitter. A fairy must shine and glimmer.

2. Place a holly wreath in your hair. It's important that there also be some mistletoe nestled in with the holly. A wreath that fits perfectly around your head is truly an important part of the fairy look for the costume. Secure it in place with hair pins and clips so that you can feel free to run around, dance, and do your magic without worrying about your magical 'do coming undone.

3. Use your imagination when it comes to your fairy dress. Think Tinkerbell meets an ice skater. The dress should be short and form-fitting, but it should keep your modesty intact. We're not going for a suggestive fairy costume, after all. This should simply be a fun and spirited Christmas fairy costume. Pick green for the color of your fairy dress. One that has a sparkle or shine to it is an even better choice!

4. Wear silver or gold stockings. This adds another fun element to your costume.

5. Wear high heels or open-toed shoes that match your dress perfectly. Glue on a Christmas element to the shoes for a nice touch that hints at your fairy power.

6. Carry a Christmas wand. The top could hold something like a Christmas tree or gold star. Use the wand in a fun way as you make the rounds of the party, but be sure to keep an eye on your wand at all times. Wands can do a lot of damage to drunken individuals who aren't paying attention to where they're going.

7. Decide which holiday power you'll bestow on yourself as a Christmas fairy. If it's the power of the sweets, declare this just before you serve a great dessert treat for everybody. Pick a fun one and go to the max with it. It isn't often in life that one has the chance to be a Christmas fairy.
