How to Host A Game Night
A game night is a great opportunity to have a casual get-together for family and friends. The festive event is easy to host, and can be thrown last-minute or planned well in advance. Does this Spark an idea?

Make a list of everyone you would like to invite to the game night. Call, email or send notes to everyone with the time, date and your address and phone number. You can ask them to RSVP or not, that is entirely up to you.

Make or purchase some simple appetizers that will please all of your guests. Meatballs, fruit trays, chips and dip, veggies, shrimp and nuts are all great choices that are easy to fix, clean up and make everyone happy.

Set out a bunch of glasses and plates for your guests. Place several different kinds of drinks in the fridge to chill. Make sure there is plenty of ice in the freezer or set-up an ice bucket for people to serve themselves.

Set up folding tables and chairs. Choose a game for each table that you have set up. Lay the game out on the table. Place coasters and napkins on each table for guests to use. Use poster board to display the name of the game at the table.

Explain the rules of each game briefly once everyone has arrived, then break into teams, go solo or develop some plan for hitting each game station. Keep track of the scores. Award prizes to the best and worst game players at the end of the night.
