Things You'll Need:
- Vinegar
- Sea salt
- Water

Step 1
Clean steel utensils and devices with vinegar. Moisten a soft towel with water then add vinegar for extra power. This works the same way if you would like to clean out a refrigerator or freezer. Combine water with vinegar and scrub the intended surfaces. The vinegar will both clean and deodorize the appliance. The same method can be used on a microwave or toaster oven, but dilute the vinegar with water quite a bit.

Step 2
Clean an electric dishwasher with vinegar. Take a full cup of organic vinegar and pour it in the normal place where you would put dishwasher soap. Set the dishwasher to a heavy setting, and let it run all the way through. This will help remove the build up that often comes from standard use.

Step 3
Reuse or recycle glass jars. You can simply add a little vinegar to the water you are cleaning it with. This will kill germs that are lingering and help remove the smells of whatever was in that jar previously. If you are trying to freshen up an old lunchbox you can take a large piece of sourdough bread and soak it in apple cider vinegar. Put the bread in the lunch box and let it sit in there for seven to eight hours. The vinegar will deodorize the lunch box.

Step 4
For heavily stained dishes, add a little vinegar to the normal water you are washing them with. The same works with cutting boards, but you should try a much stronger concentration of vinegar. If you have a burned pan, take the pan and pour vinegar and sea salt into it. Let the pan heat on the stove, and then let it cool. From here you should be able to scrub off much of the burn residue. You can do the same thing with stained pots.

Step 5
Use vinegar to prevent bugs from entering your kitchen. If ants or other bugs have made their way into your kitchen, you can spray vinegar around window seals and corners to help prevent their return.
