How to Find Cubic Feet of a Cylinder

The mathematical definition of a cylinder is a figure which has two circular bases which are congruent and parallel to each other.

Instructions

1. 

   You will be using the mathematical equation for finding the volume of any cylinder in cubic feet, which is L x π x R(2), or length times pi times the squared radius.

2. Obtain the value for π (pi), which is a constant, meaning that it never changes, no matter what the rest of the equation requires. The value of π is always 3.14159, and is usually rounded off and shortened to 3.14.

3. Assign the appropriate values to the remainder of the equation, which will now become (L x 3.14159) x R(2).

Tips & Warnings

• Don't forget that the only part of the equation to be squared is the radius, not the entire equation.
