Step 1
Join a naturist group. There are several active naturist groups in Michigan. These groups hold activities and arrange group trips to resorts. One of the oldest groups is Southeast Michigan Naturists in Ann Arbor. Michigan Nude Beach Advocates is a Yahoo! email group that provides information about resorts and advocates on behalf of Michigan naturists.
-
Step 2
Visit the American Association for Nude Recreation website and join the organization. The AANR provides information about resorts, clubs and travel opportunities for nudists. A monthly newsletter featuring new resorts is mailed to members.
-
Step 3
Travel to a Michigan resort. Whispering Oaks is located in Oxford, about 45 minutes from Detroit. Camping and RV hookups are available. Facilities include clubhouse, swimming pools, sauna and even laundry. Recreational activities range from water sports to tennis.
-
Step 4
Camp at Forest Hills Club in Saranac or Spruce Hollows Campgrounds in Mesick. Forest Hills is a cooperative campground located on forty-five acres. Spruce Hollows is located in the Northwest part of the Lower Peninsula where Michigan cherries are grown. Great golf course and Michigan wine country are a short drive from Spruce Hollows.
-
Step 5
Spend a weekend at Turtle Lake Resort in Union City. Turtle Lake activities run the gamut from miniature golf to volleyball. The resort offers rental accommodations for overnight stays.

on 6/20/2009 Most of Michigan's nudist venues are nudist parks rather than resorts. In addition to AANR's affiliated clubs, you might be able to find additional ones at The Naturist Society's website at www.naturistsociety.com.
Please note the word is "naturist;" no "l". A naturalist is one who studies plants and animals. I prefer to be a nudist as it's much more comfortable to be au naturale than in a soggy wet, sometimes sandy swimsuit. It makes more sense to clean house w/o clothes, less laundry.
