1
Cut a 4-inch by 4-inch piece of cork and a piece of felt the same size. Cut a square of the shower curtain 3 3/4 inches by 3 3/4 inches. Repeat these steps for each coaster in the set. Center the piece of shower curtain over the felt and glue it on.

Paint a design on the cork. If you are making them for fall or Thanksgiving, for example, paint on a pumpkin and some colorful maple leaves. If you are not good at painting designs, use stencils. For another good fall design, dip leaves in paint and press them on the cork. Use as many different types of leaves as you can find. Let the paint dry for an hour.Make a set for Christmas, for example, by painting the cork lightly with white paint on a diagonal. Then paint on a Christmas tree ornament. Every coaster in the set does not have to be the same. For instance, others in the Christmas set might show a Christmas tree, snowman or star.

Paint an all-purpose craft sealer over the cork. Once the sealer dries, glue the cork to the felt/shower curtain piece (the shower curtain will be on the opposite side from the cork). Glue all the edges very well so the coaster doesn't come apart. You should not be able to see the plastic, which will protect your table from water marks.
