As you probably already know, there is a huge nutritional supplement market in the United States, with dozens of brands to choose from for any type of nutritional supplement that you wish to take. But what you may not have noticed is that there can be a huge variance in price from one merchant to another even for the exact same brand of nutritional supplement. Here is how you can find the best deals when you want to buy cheap nutritional supplements.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Join membership clubs. Most major retailers of nutritional supplements have special club deals where you can get a slight discount or a rebate after making a certain amount of purchases. Sometimes these clubs can pay off over time, and most of them are free to join.

  2. Step 2

Watch for supplement sales. After you join a retailer's membership club, you will usually be added to a mailing list and will then receive sales brochures in your postal mail. You can keep an eye on these brochures to find the best deals on the nutritional supplements that you are interested in.

  3. Step 3

Check the discount racks. Many brick and mortar supplement stores have discount racks with heavy discounts, sometimes as high as 75 percent, on nutritional supplements that have physically damaged bottles or upcoming expiration dates. If you are comfortable buying supplements that have short shelf dates, you can sometimes find terrific deals on these discount racks.

  4. Step 4

Shop online. In general, you are going to have much better luck buying nutritional supplements for cheap on the Internet. Online merchants frequently try to undercut one another or offer special discounts in order to win business, and it is not unusual to find online merchants selling specific nutritional supplements for 50 percent less than your nearest brick-and-mortar store (see Resources below).

  5. Step 5

Remember to comparison-shop, and be willing to use multiple retailers. If there are specific nutritional supplements that you buy regularly, check to see who has the best deal on that supplement before defaulting to buying all your nutritional supplements in one place. Sometimes, if you use nutritional supplements on a regular basis, you can save a lot of money by using two or more different suppliers for your nutritional supplements.

Tips & Warnings
  • When shopping online, shipping costs can add up if you're not careful--but many online merchants offer free shipping with specific order sizes, so consider buying in bulk in order to avoid hefty shipping charges.
  • Remember that if a deal seems too good to be true, there might be a reason. There have been past incidents with some nutritional supplements containing lead or other contaminants, so it makes sense to stick to a trusted brand.
