Easter is a time that symbolizes new life. How better to show new life than with spring flowers, eggs and baby chicks. Welcome all your friends and family to your home by hanging the wreath on your door. This wreath is not hard to make, but takes a little time. It is well worth it, though, when you see how beautiful and unusual it is.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Pre-made straw wreath ring
  • Artificial spring flowers and greens
  • Eggs
  • Pin
  • Easter egg dye
  • Yellow pompoms in two sizes
  • Black and orange felt
  • Hot glue gun
  • Glue sticks
  • Wired ribbon
  1. Step 1

Take a pin and stick it in the end of an egg. Now stick it in the other end and move it around to make the hole slightly larger than the first. Put your mouth over the first hole and blow out the egg from the other into a bowl. Blow out about 6 eggs. Wash the egg shells carefully and dry. Dye the eggs with pastel color Easter egg dye and set them aside to dry.

  2. Step 2

Glue a small yellow pompom to a larger yellow pompom to make baby chicks. Just a drop of hot glue will hold them together. Cut tiny black dots of felt and glue on for eyes. Cut out a diamond shape from the orange felt, fold over and glue on for the beak. It may be easier to use tweezers to dip these small pieces in glue and stick them on to the pompoms. Make 3 or 4 chicks.

  3. Step 3

Lay the straw wreath ring down and arrange the greens around it. Don't glue any thing on yet. Place the flowers over the greens until you get an arrangement you like. Once you've tried different placements and have everything where you want it, start to glue them on. Start with the greens at the bottom and work up to the flowers on the top. Cover the entire ring.

  4. Step 4

Glue on the eggs. Nestle the eggs halfway behind a flower bloom and another in the greens. Work the eggs in so they are not just hanging off the wreath. Just a dab of hot glue will hold them on. Then work in the chicks. Have one standing on a stem and another peeking out from behind a flower. Use a drop of hot glue to keep them in place.

  5. Step 5

Make a nice big bow from a pastel-colored wired ribbon. Use the hot glue and stick it on the top off to one side on a slight angle. Cut the bottoms of the ribbon in a upside down "V" shape. Now your wreath is ready to hang.
