Instructions

    • 1

Unroll a length of wrapping paper, pattern-side down, across a flat surface such as a large table. Lie your gift, preferably in a box, on the back of the paper. Center the box so it is equally apart from all sides of the paper.

    • 2

Cut the paper along the short end when you have the box in the proper position. Make sure there is enough space on both sides of the box to fold over and meet on the back side of the gift.

    • 3

Fold one piece over to the back side of the box, and take out a small piece of clear tape. Adhere the paper to the box with the tape so that the paper will not move out of place and become uncentered.

    • 4

Pull the wrapping paper tight by tugging on the untapped side so the paper is stiff against the box. Tape it after it overlaps the previously taped edge. Inspect the box to ensure that there are no folds or rips before moving forward.

    • 5

Finish the wrapping process by paying attention to the open ends of the box. Take the two thin edges and fold them inward, causing a crease that will easily make an envelope-like fold. Trim away any excess paper that may hang over the fold. Tape down this fold so that it does not slip out. Repeat with the opposite end of your package.
