Instructions

    • 1

Take 3/4 cup of fresh, organic kelp powder and put it into a large mixing bowl. You may want to use fresh, dried kelp and first crush and blend it into a thick powder.

    • 2

Take another bowl and pour in 2 cups of red wine vinegar. Pour in 2 cups of filtered or distilled water and mix the solution thoroughly. Pour in 1/2 cup of fresh sage, then add 2 drops of peppermint essential oil. Mix the solution thoroughly.

    • 3

Pour the second solution into a large pot and set it to boil. Add a tiny pinch of salt and stir it while the solution is boiling. Once the solution has begun boiling, lower the heat to medium-low and let simmer for ten to fifteen minutes.

    • 4

Cover the pot securely and remove it from the heat. Let it set for thirty to forty minutes. Take a fine sifter and collect all the sage and discard it. Take the remaining solution and put it into the refrigerator until it is cooled to just below room temperature.

    • 5

Mix the two solutions in one bowl thoroughly. Once it is mixed into a consistent solution, pour it into a plastic or glass bottle and secure the lid tightly. Shake the bottle vigorously to further mix the solution.

    • 6

When using the rinse, first shampoo and rinse you hair. Then apply the rinse. Let sit in your hair for ten to twelve minutes undisturbed. Then rinse out the solution completely.

    • 7

You can keep this rinse for up to two weeks if it is kept in a cool location such a refrigerator. Since it is essentially a liquid you must make sure that the temperature is not set too low in the refrigerator otherwise it will frost over. If it is kept in a warm and moist location, such as a bathroom, make sure to only let it set for a week.
