Things You'll Need:
- Shrinky Dink sheets
- Pencil crayons
- Scissors
- Baking sheet
-
Step 1
Buy a package of Shrinky Dink sheets. You can purchase them directly from the makers of Shrinky Dink by going to their website (see Resources below).
-
Step 2
Take out a Shrinky Dink sheet rough side up. Lay the smooth side against your workspace area.
-
Step 3
Use a white pencil crayon to draw an outline of a polar bear. If you don't know how to draw a polar bear, place a copy of one under the Shrinky Dink sheet and trace it. The Shrinky Dink sheets are clear so you will be able to see it just fine. If you are making your own polar bear, make sure you draw it big so that it has room to shrink later.
-
Step 4
Color the polar bear in with your pencil crayons. Add a red tongue or some colorful eyes. You can even give the polar bear a scarf or make it look like the Coca Cola polar bear by putting a Coke in its hand. Just be creative and have fun.
-
Step 5
Cut out the polar bear with your scissors. Make sure you leave a clear space all the way around. This allows some room for the shrinkage.
-
Step 6
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.
-
Step 7
Place the Shrinky Dink polar bear color side up (the same way you had it on your table) on the cookie sheet.
-
Step 8
Place the Shrinky Dink polar bear in the oven for 60 seconds and remove.
-
Step 9
Allow to cool and then use.
