Things You'll Need:
- Wheat flour
- Cornmeal
- Agave nectar
- Distilled water
- Mint
- Parsley
- Spirulina
- Vegetable protein
- Flax oil
-
Step 1
Take 2 cups of whole wheat flour and pour it into a large mixing bowl. Add 3/4 cup of organic cornmeal to the bowl and mix it thoroughly.
-
Step 2
Take fresh organic mint leaves and chop them up into a fine herbal mash. Take 1/3 cup of this chopped mint and toss it into the bowl. Take fresh parsley and chop it the same way as you did with the mint leaves. Take 1/3 cup of the chopped parsley and also put it into the bowl. Stir the contents of the bowl thoroughly until it is evenly mixed.
-
Step 3
Take 1 tbsp. of spirulina and put that into the mixing bowl. Take 2 to 3 tbsp. of textured vegetable protein and put it into the bowl. Add 1 cup of filtered or distilled water into the bowl. Add 7 tbsp. of organic flaxseed oil to the bowl as well.
-
Step 4
Finish off by putting in just a dash of agave nectar for flavor. Do one last extensive mix of the contents, making sure there is no clumping in it.
-
Step 5
Set the oven to preheat at 360 degrees Fahrenheit. Spread out the mixed batter onto a large baking sheet, taking special attention to make sure that it is evenly distributed. Once the oven is at the correct temperature put the baking sheet in and let it bake for 35 minutes.
-
Step 6
Once it is done, take it out and cut it into the size pieces that you like. The biscuits will help to counteract the breath of the dog and act as a freshener. They are perfectly safe, so feed them to your pet as often as you like. You can keep them out for a couple weeks, but refrigerating them will extend the shelf life.
