How to Practice Good Health Club Etiquette
Health clubs are great places to get in shape and work on those problem areas of your physical appearance. They are also great places to interact with a wide variety of people from all walks of life who share one common goal: physical fitness. So, why not take steps to insure that your social interactions with your fellow health club members are as positive and beneficial as can be?

Bring a workout towel. One of the pet peeves of many health club members is encountering an exercise machine that is soiled with someone else's sweat. Not only is a workout towel a great way for you to keep yourself clean and sanitary, but it will ensure that you keep the equipment that you use that way as well.

2
Be aware of time limits. Most health clubs and gyms have time limits placed on many of their exercise machines, especially the cardiovascular exercise machines like treadmills. Be respectful and vacate that piece of equipment after your time is up.

3
Keep the noise down. Always remember that you are not the only one working out at the health club. And while you may think nothing of being loud and boisterous, or you relish those moments when you scream and grunt while hoisting massive amounts of weight, other members might find such behavior a little offensive and/or rude.

Don't be a machine hog. After finishing up with a particular exercise machine, be sure to vacate it and give other people a chance to use it. An exercise machine is not a place to rest or loiter. And if you are in the middle of an exercise session that is rather lengthy, be a good sport and ask any members that might be waiting their turn if they would like to work in with you.
