Affiliate-market without PPC (pay per click) by using SEO (search engine optimized) article writing. Search engines look for keywords in Web content and rank websites accordingly. Marketers use PPC advertising to buy keywords that customers enter into search engines. By learning to write and connect SEO Web content, an affiliate marketer gets the top rank of the search engines without using PPC advertising.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Apply to be an affiliate marketer for the companies in your niche. Choose companies that provide marketing tools for their affiliates to use. Appropriate tools include banners, pictures, text links and even articles for spinning.

  2. Step 2

Narrow and break down the affiliate marketing niche into individual campaigns. Each campaign features an individual product for sale. Research each product to make sure there is a clear need and not an overflow of other marketers offering the same product.

  3. Step 3

Research the keywords for each campaign. Start by using Google to find the popularity of the niche topic. Narrow the search using the search term with quotation marks and negative keywords. Look for searches that return a low number of pages, under 1,000, with PPC ads along the side. This proves that other affiliate marketers are paying for the keywords that you are using free with SEO writing. Record all chosen keywords on a spreadsheet.

  4. Step 4

Join Web content sites and submit informative articles for publication. Use only sites that offer upfront payment for articles and offer page view or performance income. This creates a residual income for the marketer. Write at least 10 articles for each campaign.

  5. Step 5

Practice SEO writing to gain exposure on the Internet. Use the Textalyzer website to test each article and blog entry for proper SEO usage. Keywords must show up between 3 and 5 percent in every article and blog post for high search engine ranking. Articles and blog entries that rank high in search engines are using keywords free while PPC advertisers are paying for them.

  6. Step 6

Start a free blog to act as a landing page for the marketing campaign. This is the sales pitch page that tells the customer how to buy the products offered. Update the blog daily to keep it fresh and at the top of the Google listing. Link all campaigns together on the blog or landing page.

  7. Step 7

Link all of the websites and articles together to gain popularity with Google. Search engines follow links on the Internet from one site to another, looking for information pertaining to a particular topic. Linking also allows customers easier access to each marketing campaign you are running. Direct the reader to each article, then to the landing page for the purchase.

Tips & Warnings
  • To affiliate-market without using PPC advertising, learn how to write SEO Web content. The more time spent writing articles about products for sale, the higher Google will rate the content.
  • Create backlinks to the affiliate marketing landing page to get on the first page of Google and other search engines.
  • After establishing yourself as an authority on a niche, other websites will point customers to your landing page.
  • Never steal or spin articles from other websites or affiliate marketers. Doing so will result in being banned from all programs.
  • Never pay money to start an affiliate marketing business. All of the information is available free on the Internet. It makes no sense to spend money on setting up an affiliate marketing campaign free to save money on PPC advertising.
