Sometimes people think plus sized clothing has to be big, bulky and unattractive. This is not the case. There are many stores where you can find great and stylish clothing in sizes 12 and up. Torrid is one of those stores. Torrid is owned by the same company that owns Hot Topic. It has the fun funky clothes you would find at Hot Topic, but they also have career wear, formal wear and casual wear. The problem with Torrid is that they do not have stores in all the major cities. If you do not have a Torrid near you, then you are forced to order from their online store.

Look at the FAQ on theTorrid Web site. The page is usually image-heavy so it might take a minute to view. Scroll down the page and find the FAQ link on the left hand side of the page. Click on that link. There will be a list of common questions and answers. Read these first. These will familiarize you with the rules and policies of the site. In the left hand menu there will be additional specific FAQ links.

Browse. Go back to the main page. If you know what you are looking for, simply type the item into the search box and then browse through the results. If you do not, just click on the different areas. Once you find something you like click on the item. Read the description and check the drop down menu for sizes available.

Determine your size in relation to Torrid's size methodology. Their clothes are are sized 0-4. Some have the traditional size listings, but like with any clothing, sizing may vary. Click on the size chart link. A box will pop up. This box will have tips for getting your measurements and have conversation charts for all of their products from costumes to belts.

Select your purchase. If you like the item and they have it in your size, click on add to bag. Continue to browse and add your desired items to you shopping bag.

Check out your purchases. You have two options. You can check out with PayPal or you can go through Torrid’s checkout. If you choose PayPal, log into you PayPal account and follow the prompts. If you check out through Torrid you should create a Diva Style account. If you have one, log in. If not, click on checkout without an account. Fill out your shipping and billing information as you follow the prompts. Once you complete the checkout process, you will get a confirmation screen. Print this out for your records.
