1. Choosing nude hosiery is very much like choosing the right shade of makeup. The most important thing is to match your skintone rather than your outfit or your shoes. Like makeup, the right nude for you will be "invisible."

2. Remember that the same name shade differs depending on the fiber of the hosiery, so always check the color swatch in the fiber of the hose you're buying. The same shade that flatters your skin in an ultra sheer hose may take on unflattering undertones in a stretchier fiber.

3. When you check the color, I want you to spread your hand completely in the swatch so that you get the full stretch of the hosiery, the way it will appear on your legs, and look at the hosiery against the back of your hand. If it picks up your skin tones, it's the right shade.
