Things You'll Need:
- Scrapbook
- Stickers
- Photographs
- Fancy paper
- Scissors
- Embellishments
- Mementos
- Time and Workspace
-
Step 1
Think Scrapbook: When there is an event you want to remember, think scrapbook when you are taking pictures. What images do you want to capture?
-
Step 2
Unique Page Ideas: Everyone's scrapbook has the same kind of pages, right? Christmas, birthdays, vacations, we all want to remember those days. But what about the other events in your life? Think outside the box about things you want to remember. Ear piercing, picnics, bar-b-ques, church events, zoo trips, festivals, parades, sporting events, concerts, and family reunions are all good ideas for scrapbook pages.
-
Step 3
Color Scheme: Try pulling your color scheme from your photos or mementos. Notice the paper color and additions are from the sticker and certificate.
-
Step 4
Note the candy wrapperEmbellishments: Unique embellishments can be found everywhere. Some examples are : candy wrappers, wrapping paper, cards, ticket stubs, postcards, fliers, brochures, and gift tags. Look for stickers everywhere you shop. I have found some great ones at really low prices.
-
Step 5
Is this a hot mess or what!Know When To Stop (Less is More): Double check yourself when it comes to patterns, colors, stickers, and other embellishments. Here is an example of when I went a little crazy with the stickers!

on 10/1/2008 I want to start scrapbooking, but the expense keeps me from starting. I like your idea of finding embellishments in places other than the shelves of the craft store. Thanks!
