Step 1
bird pocket in the vestWear a bright orange vest so that other hunters will see you. The vest should have large pockets for your shotgun shells and pockets for your personal items. Typically, these vests have a large pocket in the back for keeping your birds.

Step 2
yellow safety glassesSafety glasses are a must. No matter what you are shooting, you should always protect your eyes from any material that may emit from your gun. You may never need them but better to have them and not need them, then to wish you had them. These yellow glasses I'm wearing are great.

Step 3
a great hatA brimmed hat will keep the sun out of your eyes which will prevent you from shooting anything you didn't intend to shoot! Although hunting accident related deaths are far less than accidental drowning, these accidents do happen and it is your responsibility to make sure it doesn't happen. Remember safety first!

Step 4
bootsHigh rubber boots are a must. Rubber boots will help prevent scratches and cuts as you walk through brush. They will also ensure your feet stay warm and dry!
