A delicious homemade apple pie is what everyone hopes to see on the dessert table! This recipe is actually a lower-sugar version, but no one will know the difference.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 4 cups pared and sliced apples (optional: mix sweet reds and tart greens)
  • 1/2 cup frozen apple juice concentrate
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • pie crust
  1. Step 1

Prepare pie crust, or use a premade one. If using a premade crust, be sure to buy one that is flat (not molded into a pie tin) to cover the top of your pie.

  2. Step 2

Put apples into unbaked pie crust. In small mixing bowl stir together apple juice, cornstarch, cinnamon and nutmeg. Pour mixture over apples.

  3. Step 3

Place top pie crust over the apples. Seal and pinch the edges. Make some slashes into the top with a knife.

  4. Step 4

Bake at 425 F until bubbling and golden brown.
