    • Cloths or towels
    • Vinegar

        Clean all objects and surfaces on a regular basis, using fresh water. If the salt creep is built up, you might need to remove some of the tank water and use a scrub brush. Make sure to use a catcher of some sort -- a dish, aluminum foil, for example -- to catch the salt and keep it from going back into the water.

        Wipe external surfaces with a cloth soaked in vinegar.
