Golden Pothos, also known as Devils Ivy, is one of the easiest houseplants to grow. All you need to do is water it once per week and give it medium light and you will have a happy plant. The golden pothos is also excellent at filtering toxins out of the air in your home. If you don't want to spend the money to purchase one of these plants, try taking a cutting from a friend or neighbor. Propagating this plant is very easy by following these steps.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Healthy golden pothos plant
  • Garden shears
  • Water
  • Vase
  • Potting soil
  • Gloves
  • Planter
  1. Step 1

Find a healthy golden pothos plant that you can take at least a 6 inch cutting from.

  2. Step 2

Take several cuttings with a few leafs on each.

  3. Step 3

Find a small vase or glass and fill it with water.

  4. Step 4

Simply place the cuttings stem down in the water with a few leafs exposed.

  5. Step 5

After a week, you should start to see some roots growing in the water. Keep topping off the vase with water and wait several weeks for roots to establish. Once you see several roots in the water, you can plant these cuttings in potting soil.

Tips & Warnings
  • Ask friends, co-workers, family, or neighbors if you can take cuttings from their plant.
