Different sites pay different ways. Some sites are revenue sharing like eHow.com. Others include upfront payments and revenue sharing such as associatedcontent.com and some pay a one time upfront fee for your articles, such as qualitygal.com, demandstudios.com and brighthub.com. Decide which payment method you feel most comfortable with.

At certain sites you can develop content and build around it. You get a share of revenue and you can share affiliate links to make extra income. Sites such as squidoo.com and hubpages.com are great places to build a niche and earn money writing at home.
