Things You'll Need:
- soft bristle toothbrush
- cup of water
- listerine
- floss
-
Step 1
Get a soft bristle toothbrush. You do not need anything harder than that to remove plaque causing agents.
-
Step 2
Hold your toothbrush at about a 45 degree angle and start to brush the outside of your front teeth first. Make sure that you use a gentle circular motion. Make sure you angle to get at the edge of you gums also.
-
Step 3
Next you should move the brush to your back teeth and restart your gentle brushing, at the gum line here also too. There is no real preference as to which side left or right to begin with.
-
Step 4
Guide you toothbrush to the insides of you back teeth in this step. Make sure that you continue to use the same angulation but in shorter strokes.
-
Step 5
Follow through with bringing your toothbrush to the insides of your front teeth. Maneuver your brush to a vertical up and down motion instead of the horizontal side to side circular motion you did before.
-
Step 6
Don't forget the tops of your teeth. Hold you toothbrush flat with the bristles toward the teeth and gently scrub.
-
Step 7
Get you cup of water and rinse.
-
Step 8
Now get about 12 to 18 inches of floss and wrap it around your two middle finger leaving about 2 inches of floss to use.
-
Step 9
Gently see-saw the floss between your teeth and carefully move the floss up & down against each tooth. Make sure to use a fresh section of the floss each time you go between your teeth.
-
Step 10
Now, rinse with Listerine & you are done!
