How to Install the Network Monitor Driver in Windows

      Go to Control Panel in Windows and Click the Network Connections icon and Right Click on the Local Area Network connection and click Properties from the Sub-Menu.

      Now you should have the Properties dialog window open so that we can see all the drivers needed to have our connection(s) working. However, there is a driver that we don't have installed that we need t have our Network Monitor to work and this can be installed by clicking the install button in the properties dialog window.

      Now we should have the network component dialog window open to install a service, client or protocol. We want to choose protocol so that we can install the correct driver for the Network Monitor, so choose protocol and click add and the protocol components dialog window will appear.

      Click on Network Monitor and then click add button. Depending on the speed of your machine this could take a couple of minutes.

      Once the driver installs for the Network Monitor the Local Area Connection dialog window appears again. You may now close the Properties dialog box and along with the Local Area Connections status window.
