Things You'll Need:
- a guitar of course, electric, acoustic, nylon acoustic.
-
Step 1
You will only have to memorize the sound of the sixth String E (the bass one, the bold one)now this one is a very important step, you could memorize it or use a reference from a song you know, for instance what I do is I use the first strum of Day Tripper by the beatles, then when this string sounds like the first note played on the song you know that the first string is tuned. Now the task turns easy....
-
Step 2
now put your finger on the fifth fret of the E String and play it, now that sound of the 5th fret is the guide for your next string, now when the fifth string which is A, is tuned according to the sound of the fifth fret of the E note proceed with the next one on the same manner, until you reach the second.
-
Step 3
Now the second one is where we stop our routine, just for this one you have to tune this string with the third's fourth fret instead of the fifth like we have been doing prior, and then after this one is tuned, it all goes back to normal, finishing with the last one. and now the guitar is tuned, with little effort your guitar will sound tuned, saving you money from an electronic tuner, and will make you look more professional. I hope this article has been helpful to you, I will go on and put more articles on guitars soon
