Here's a wonderful recipe for juicy pepper steak. It's sure to please any crowd!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1.5 lb. sirloin steak (1/2" thick)
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 1 beef bouillon
  • 3 T. soy sauce
  • 1 minced garlic clove
  • 1 red pepper, cut up
  • 1 green pepper, cut up
  • 2 T. cornstarch
  • 1/4 c. cold water
  • 2 tomatoes, peeled and cup into eighths
  • 3-4 cups of hot, cooked white rice
  1. Step 1

    Trim fat and bone from meat. Cut into 6 serving size pieces. Grease skillet with fat from meat. Sprinkle with 1/4 t. salt. Brown meat, turn and sprinkle with 1/4 t. salt. Push meat to side of skillet, add onion and cook until tender.

  2. Step 2

    Add soy sauce, bullion, and garlic. Cover and simmer about 10 minutes or until meat is tender. Add peppers, cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Blend cornstarch into water. Gradually stir mixture into skillet.

  3. Step 3

    Cook, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils. Boil and stir one minute then add tomatoes and heat through. Serve over hot white rice.

    Serves 4-6.
