This year - it's en vogue to paint your pumpkins instead of make the normal triangles, or newer fancy carvings.

Here are 3 fun ideas to paint your pumpkins.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Acrylic Paint
  • Pumpkin
  • Template
  • Knife
  • Painters tape
  • Contact Paper
  1. Step 1

    HAUNTED HOUSE PUMPKIN
    * Clean your pumpkin out
    * Find a template of a haunted house online type in keywords: Halloween, coloring pages (http://holidays.kaboose.com/halloween-color.html)
    * Cut out the haunted house with contact paper. You will want to make the contact paper into an outline.
    * Apply the contact paper stencil you created to the pumpkin and fill in with black acrylic paint.
    * Cut out windows on the haunted house
    * Insert a candle
    * BOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

  2. Step 2

    POLKA DOTTED PUMPKIN
    (You will not clean out your pumpkin for this)
    * Apply polka dot stickers to your washed (and dried) pumpkin
    * Paint your pumpkin the color you desire (you can spray paint)
    * Let the painted pumpkin dry
    * Remove your polka dot stickers
    * You can fill in your polka dots with additional acrylic paint in different colors, or leave orange

  3. Step 3

    GHOST PUMPKIN
    * Hollow your pumpkin
    * Spray or acrylic paint your pumpkin white
    * Cut out the mouth and eyes, use circles

Tips & Warnings
  • Do what you want to. This is a chance to be creative for Halloween. If you don't like it - paint over it!!!
