We love our pets, but sometimes they create stinky urine-stains on your carpets.

Here are a few tips that I've found to work.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

A stain noticed and taken cared of within the first couple of hours will be the easiest to clean.

  2. Step 2

Using a clean & dry paper towel, blot any fresh stains out of the carpet.

With the paper towel on carpet, step on it with your foot to bring up as much moisture as possible.

You'll need to do this a few times, with a new dry paper towel until the towel stops isn't absorbing anything.

  3. Step 3

When the spot is somewhat dry, you should neutralize the urine that is left in the fibers with a product, such as Miracle's Nature (sold at most pet stores.)

Spray on the neutralizer & use a clean dry paper towel to blot up as much of the excess moisture from the neutralizer as possible.

  4. Step 4

For this next step, you'll want to use an actual cloth towel to leave on the area.

Put something on top of it to weigh the towel down. This will allow it to soak up the moisture more effectively.

You might need to change the towel when it soaks through and repeat the process until the spot is completely dry.

Tips & Warnings
  • The main idea behind pet-stain removal & prevention is to eliminate any odor completely. This will help ensure that he or she won't be encouraged to do their business there again.
  • Make sure any cleaner you use is safe around all of your pets.
