This article will tell you how to move (dock) the quick launch toolbar in windows vista.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A running version of Windows.
  1. Step 1

If necessary, boot up your computer and login so that your desktop is showing.

  2. Step 2

Right-click on your desktop and choose New, then choose Folder.

  3. Step 3

Drag the newly created folder to the left or right hand side of the screen, where it will automatically dock.

  4. Step 4

Right-click on the newly docked folder and choose Toolbars, then choose Quick Launch. Your Quick Launch icons should now appear in the newly docked folder.

  5. Step 5

Right-click on the newly docked folder and choose Toolbars, then de-select "New Folder".

  6. Step 6

Hide the quick launch from the Windows Taskbar.

Right click the Windows taskbar, choose Toolbars, then de-select Quick Launch. This will remove the Quick Launch toolbar from the Windows taskbar.

  7. Step 7

Delete the "New Folder" which is on your desktop by right-clicking and choosing delete, or by selecting it and pressing shift+delete to delete it permanently. You now have a docked Quick Launch which you can add/remove your most commonly used applications to/from.
