Enjoy fresh bread without the hassle.

Some cooks want a bread machine only to knead and process the dough through the first rising stage, leaving them the ability to shape and form it into the final product. Others want every step done for them, from start to finish. No matter what you need, take a look at some of the best bread machine deals around.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Choose a Zojirushi when you want a bread machine that does it all and does it well. For around $200, you can get a model that uses and prepares a sourdough starter as well as options for all other bread types. Zojirushi is the all-around best choice, but you can't afford a Zojirushi, there are other options.

  2. Step 2

Go the yard sale route when you aren't picky about the brand name and you just want a bread machine to knead the dough for you. Just about any bread machine will process dough satisfactorily up to the second rising stage. For under $10, you can buy a used one and save yourself some elbow grease.

  3. Step 3

Check out the Panasonic Sunbeam line of bread machines for a good machine that won't break the bank. With an entire line of sturdy machines, you can choose from a 1-lb loaf or a 2-lb loaf for the times you're really hungry.

Tips & Warnings
  • Save your warranty card and receipt. If you think a bread machine is too complicated to operate, take it back and get another model.
