Things You'll Need:
- Clorox 2® or an equivalent non-chlorine, color-safe bleach
-
Step 1
As long as the blood stain has not dried or set, you may be able to remove it with quick action. Remove whatever article of clothing is stained with blood.
-
Step 2
Next, pour a tablespoon or two (you only need a tiny amount, eyeball it) into the cap from the Clorox 2® color-safe bleach or into a small container (not one you eat or drink from).
-
Step 3
Spot treat the blood stain directly with the color-safe, non-chlorine bleach. If it's fresh enough to be removed, you will see a foaming action like when blood meets hydrogen peroxide.
-
Step 4
Launder your item according to directions as soon as possible, best if right away. Always follow the washing instructions for your stained clothing and follow product directions.

on 9/28/2008 I have worked previously as a phlebotomist, the person who draws blood at the lab, and our company kept hydrogen peroxide on-hand for the occasional spill that went through or around our lab coats. Anyways, it's nearly the same remedy because hydrogen peroxide is the first ingredient in Clorox 2®.
