The puppy who rings the bell

Teach your puppy to ring a bell when he needs to go outside !!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Instructions

Step 1

When you bring your little bundle home introduce them to the yard.
Step 2

Attach the bells to a string a put on door knob.
Step 3

Now about every hour or so actually walk your dog to the door. Do not pick them up bend over and move there little legs so they walk to the door. (It looks a little funny but it works.) when you reach the door take their paw and ring the bell then walk them outside where you want them to go. Stay there until they pee or pooh. Repeat this every time you go out. Within the week they will start to do this on their own. Of course they will not do this all the time but they will start.

Tips & Warnings

When they make mistakes, which they will, do not scold them but just bring them to the bell and walk them outside. So they know this is where they should go.
Try not to clean up after them while they are watching. And do put an odor eliminator on after you clean up. They tend to go where they left their scent.
