How to Exterminate Ants - Naturally

Ants everywhere??? Come Spring, my house literally gets overtaken by these little critters. It was only until I found a few natural exterminators that they were finally demolished. For good! Here are a few natural and healthier ways to get rid of ants in your home.

Things You'll Need

• Cornmeal
• Basil Leaves
• Cinnamon
• Vinegar

Instructions

1. First, find out where the little buggers are getting into your house. You will usually see a little parade of them sauntering in. My ants usually come in through the door, brazen little guys that they are. I imagine them having a party in my kitchen celebrating their arrival.

2. Ant Deterrent Number One - Cornmeal: Place anywhere you see ants invading your home. The little worker ants will then eat the cornmeal and die because they can't digest it. One kiss up worker ant will take it back to the Queen where she will ingest it. Then Bammo! The Queen is dead!

3. Ant Deterrent Number Two - Smelly Stuff: Basil Leaves and Cinnamon: The smell of basil and cinnamon apparently makes the ants gag and they are said to run screaming from the house. Place fresh leaves and ground cinnamon wherever you see the ants. You could also try various other spices to see which one's will cause them to wrinkle up their little noses and run. (You will need a magnifying glass to see their wrinkled noses ;)

4. Ant Deterrent Number Three: Vinegar - Said to keep them away, again due to the smell (who knew they didn't like the smell of so many things???), wipe down counters with a 50/50 mix of water and vinegar to keep them at bay.
